Transaction Analysis tells us :
Parent is the dominant part....the cop...the guy with the rule book....the grumbler, the normative....shortsighted ....yet....pompous ass !!!
Child is like a child..... playful....naughty....rule breaker...dreamer....innovative et. etc...
Adult is the SANE HUMAN....rational and balanced....
( looking at the present chaos in social psychology...I remember a popular column in a popular magazine....that carried a "spot the ball contest " ...
In this game column...from a regular pic of a match....the ball was removed and viewers had to judge....where the ball might have been.....looking at the situation and/or the expression of the players in the frame !!! )
Now....I would like to run a competition stating :
" spot the adult contest "
....TA has convinced us the veracity of the three Ego States....but has not given us any clue....as far as finding the missing adult ego state is concerned...
....or....maybe....there are only two ego states....Parent and Child....and Adult is the non-playing captain...or a Coach !!! or an entity that only emerges....once the two ego states are not 'unnecessarily' hooked......and are OK !!!
