Label fable

Once upon a time there took place
A unique conference with many round tables

It was the conference of Names, Titles
 Definitions, Adjectives…. and Labels !

‘Why man needs us’ was chosen as the central theme
And the number attending…was any organizer’s dream !!!

At the plenary....it was unanimously resolved:
There won’t be any panel experts…and many ego hassles were solved !

‘Names are needed’ …it was rightly debated…for identification
But man does not stop there….he needs them for more…it is a compulsion !

Definitions and labels are good to hide the insecurities
This was agreed by all…as men are spineless…be it villages…or cities !!!

When a child is born…is christened…. but this does not seem enough ?
His class or religion is important….and if his pedigree is refined or rough !

And when the child grows up…school decides the course and the subject
As if mere knowledge is no good….without a degree…it is suspect !

One young label brought up an issue …that was hotly debated :
‘Only men of merit should be labeled….and who are often under rated’ !

But the idea stuck… and every one …in the end…agreed
It was not men who would choose labels…but from now on…  labels would choose men…
Let each man ( or woman ) be labeled according to their deed !!!
