Take a lad who is bright 

With an average or over IQ     

Peel off his creative urges         

Put him in a scholarly stew

Then boil this green adolescent     

For full term of secondary years      

And dip him in some Univ.            

To cool off the remaining ‘fears’.

Now take out this fully… 

Schooled….Lump of a man     

And marinate him in Ph. D.          

To unlearn….whatever he can !

You now have a ready teacher   

   Who tastes like academic sure             

And if the processing was thorough              

You can bet….he is 99% pure !

Then take this Rich Scholar    

Make him teach some classes            

This shall work as a wooden cask….                

 He shall mature….as do molasses …

When fermentation is over…       

When he has taught for ten years                 

You have a graying species                            

Who by books and papers swears !

Now this middle aged preparation     

Is ripe to become a professor          

And if the ‘yeast’ has succeeded                   

He can be the VC’s successor!    

One note of caution and restraint….           

Is a must for this recipe….                   

Never expose it to ‘open’ air  

Keep it covered with some degree !!!
