A Fat Joe Joke

It’s a beautiful late afternoon!  Fat Joe walks to his mail box to get the mail.  He whistles.  He feels good: soon it will be dinner time.  Angie, Joe’s lovely and slim  wife has been cooking all day.  Maybe today Fat Joe will get a check in the mail and not the usual bills and junk mail.  He smiles with anticipation.  He is jolly: life may turn for the better after all.

Fat Joe walks into the kitchen, sits at the table, and goes through the mail. Oops, no check! The last piece of mail is a summon. “Oh, no! Not again!”  Fat Joe huffs and puffs.  He hates to go to court to serve as a juror, and end up waiting to be selected what seems to be forever.

Angie inquires what’s wrong. Fat Joe explains he been summoned as a petit juror.  Angie assures Fat Joe they will send Fat Joe soon the very day he shows up in court: “You, a petit juror? I know they have made a BIG mistake, Honey!”

The Magic and Power of Poetry

Reading a poem makes you stop, think and relate to it.  Poetry, like math, enhances your mental skills, and, at the same time, it goes the extra mile: it’s pleasure for your heart and soul, too.  That’s why I read and write poetry.  I encourage you to do the same. Be not afraid, read it and write it!  Kindly share your view. Thanks!
Poetry and Stress Management

Stress doesn’t discriminate age, race, ethnic group or sex.  Infants, stressed out, cry to be fed or changed.  Stressed out elderly people, residing in nursing homes, cry out for help and so anyone else between those two ages.

Poetry is to the mind what food is to the body: nourishment. Poetry is a good way of relaxation; it promotes and expresses sensuality, spirituality, empathy and understanding. When twenty-four hours are not enough in a day, take an hour to read and or write poetry and to punch the daylights of that punching bag in the basement or at the gym. After you do that the twenty-four hours in a day magically seem fine.

Humor

Is laughter the best medicine?

Some claim laughter strengthen sour immune system and diminishes stress.

It seems humor lightens our burdens and highlights hopes and dreams.

What do you think?

Why women ask other women what to buy for a guy? Shouldn't they ask guys?  I am surprised how many articles are written about this topic by women for women.  What's your opinion on the subject?  No sarcasm please!
